To compete in international championships, mushers need an appropriate license. There is a difference between the WSA (Purebred Sled Dogs) and the IFSS for the open championships.

IFSS DID:
The DID of the IFSS has existed for a long time and can only be applied for by the SSV. In order for this to be ordered, an order must be made to our sports chief using this Excel form. In addition, the license fee of CHF 55.-- must be transferred to the SSV in advance. Please do NOT transfer the money together with the membership fee but separately to our IBAN with the note "DID". You will find a corresponding payment form here as PDF.

WSA WDL:
The WSA requires from each participant in international championships and for the rating in the WSA Cup a solved WDL. This is to be solved by the musher himself at the WSA via this link.

Please note that a license via the SSV only receives who is a member of the SSV and has paid his / her membership fee for the current club year!

The General Assembly is the supreme body of the Association and is held between the begin of May and the end of June each year. The members receive the agenda together with the invitation. According to our statutes, only the business on the agenda can be voted on at the association meeting. Members may submit proposals for the attention of the General Assembly in writing to the President. All information about the general meeting and the deadlines are listed in our statutes.

Once or twice a year, the SSV organizes a musher meeting for its members. In addition to a convivial get-together, lunch and a varied social program, important topics are discussed. New members can make interesting contacts with long-time members.

At the spring meeting, the past racing season and the upcoming club meeting are discussed.
The fall meeting is used to inform about the upcoming racing season regarding races, regulations and other important points. The location of the meeting changes from time to time and will be communicated with the invitation.
